McCourt v. McCourt v. Selig

What were they thinking? Did anyone bother to consider the health of the storied franchise…the Dodgers…? Rarely do I agree with Bud Selig but he is absolutely right about stemming the flow of money from the Dodgers to the McCourts. Selig today rejected a television contract between the Dodgers and Fox, nullifying the divorce settlement agreement between the McCourts.

Outrageously, the settlement agreement stipulated that $183million from the television contract would be distributed to the McCourts and their attorneys from this contract. How naive am I? I missed the lesson on your professional sports team serving as an ATM for the family and counsel.

Frank McCourt should give up the team. He should stop using an icon as bargaining chip in two games he will lose: the divorce and the fight with Major League Baseball.
